Butterfly

from Soulflier by Soulflier

/

about

Butterfly definitely falls under the Rock and Roll sound of Soulflier with it's distorted electric guitars and driving acoustic drums. In fact, there's hardly an electronic sound in there. If you listen closely you'll hear some atmospheric synths hidden in the mix.

Though different in instrumentation, this track fits with the atmospheric ethos of Soulflier. It shares the same DNA with the rest of the tracks in that it's about creating space to reflect and engage. A butterfly describes the mood of this. Think of it as the moment you realize who you were created to be, then emerge like a butterfly out of a cocoon able to step into into the world as a new creation. Everything's different now.
